Bob’s Burgers is a new animated series about a man, his family and a burger joint. A third-generation restaurateur, Bob Belcher (H. Jon Benjamin) runs Bob’s Burgers with the help of his uptight wife and their three underachieving kids. Bob has big ideas about burgers, condiments and sides, but only a few thoughts on customer service and business management. Despite his greasy counters, lousy location and occasionally spotty service, Bob is convinced his burgers speak for themselves. Bob’s wife, Linda (John Roberts), supports Bob’s dream through thick and thin, but has some dreams of her own. Their oldest daughter, Tina (Dan Mintz), is a 13 year old hopeless romantic with minimal social skills. Middle child Gene (Eugene Mirman) is a self-described musician, class clown and all-around entertainer. Their youngest, Louise (Kristen Schaal), is the most enthusiastic about her dad’s business, but her imagination and scheming make her somewhat of a liability in the kitchen.

I have not been this excited about a cartoon since my childhood. Do you remember waking up on Saturday morning and glueing yourself to the T.V. That feeling has come back due to Bob's Burgers. Thanks

  • King of the Hill + Home Movies = Bob's

    By drdancabot
Adorable and funny, but also with adult humor that isn't as raunchy as Family Guy. This show is the collaboration of Lauren Bouchard and Jim Dautrive. The first is creator of "Home Movies," a quirky cartoon that had an interesting half-improv dialogue that was a unique concept at the time. This made for funny dialogue that felt genuine rather than the over-scripted dialogue from most cartoons. I loved it and was sad to see it go. JD is one of the creators of "King of the Hill," a series that had a respectably long run on Fox. This was one of the few adult cartoons that was funny and relatable (if you have ever lived in or known people from Texas) without having to reach in the gutter for material like Family Guy. From the previews, I thought I wouldn't like the show-- so it was well into season 2 before I watched an episode. Now I am buying all the previous episodes I missed and have not been disappointed.
